Wonderful news from South Australia!
On May 26th, Go Gentle Australia, Voluntary Assisted Dying South Australia and A Peaceful End organized a highly successful candlelit vigil on the steps of Parliament House, attended to by over 500 people. This success was an indicator of what was to occur in the Lower House, later that evening, where a second reading vote on the VAD Bill was overwhelmingly supported 33-5. The Bill will be further debated on June 9. Congratulations to all involved in reaching such an historic milestone in the history of SA VAD debate!
