I’m Jono Simko, a young professional living in Melbourne, Australia. I’m passionate about the opportunity to be a Dying With Dignity Young Ambassador because I believe the concept and normalisation of assisted dying need more awareness amongst the younger demographics of Australia; both for individuals and those whom they are connected with who may benefit from an Advance Care Plan.
Having both my mother and uncle pass away from neurodegenerative diseases within the last few years, I wish to share my own experiences on end-of-life planning to help increase awareness and encourage positive conversation on this topic.
