VAD Telehealth Issue Raised in Victorian Parliament

Stuart Grimley Vic. Leader of Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party, directed a question, in Parliament, to the Minister for Health, The Hon. Martin Foley.

The question concerned the issue of the Commonwealth Criminal Code that conflicts with the Victorian VAD Act 2017, by prohibiting VAD medical services by Telehealth. This includes phone calls, video links & emails.

This conflict was evidenced especially during the Victorian COVID lock-downs. The elderly, severely infirm and those in rural areas were especially affected.

There has been no response up until now.
